Just like to say A big thanks to ALL the staff on Oceana on the E722 cruise. I had a GREAT TIME . Met some smashing people I was a single female traveler who went to the single travelers coffee morning on days at sea. Jo B was fantastic! and Olivia a young man also but cant remember the name . I never laughed so much , the comedian was a scream my sides ached . The lady Harpist Rebecca was amazing ( please ask her back ) We had a laugh with the bar staff who worked so hard but very amusing, made my day. Met lots of passengers who's name I didn't get Man and wife I met at the restaurant on the same deck as reception? I told them my name was red shoes they laughed. also met a lovely lady on a shared dining table in the same restaurant who again didn't get the name, but she was amusing, met so many great people. another couple who the lady had a bad back we shared a few hours with them. The food was good , they had my food prepared by a diet chef as I have acid reflux and a hiatus hernia , it made a big difference. I danced with a bloke called Chris at the dancing class , we had a right laugh I had 2 left feet but enjoyed it. I met a bloke on there at the singles coffee meeting , were still intouch. Hello to you all Andrea from Sheffield, Jean from chesterfield, Another lady who sat with Jean, Chris, Des from Sheffield, a few more but cant remember their names (sorry) I danced in the disco something haven't done in Years but enjoyed. Thanks to Nevis my cabin steward deck 11 cabin A533. to Jo b and Olivia , hope it's going well. and to all staff on board Oceana . Till next time .

Sounds like you thoroughly enjoyed yourself, Red Shoes, as you obviously approached everything with a positive attitude. The problem now is that you get hooked as cruising is very addictive.

Pleased you had a good time. We travel as a couple but I've always thought cruising is a good holiday for singles with all the chances to meet and socialise.

Glad that you enjoyed your holiday so much

We've not been on Oceana since 2010 but a friend of ours was on the cruise before you and they loved it.

They had sailed twice before with RCI but I think that they are now P&O converts

My sister in law did her first cruise on Ventura in November and has already booked another for 2018.

Beware, it's an expensive habit
Empty vessels .. and all that

Hi Everyone and thanks for your replies.
Maureen you are so right about it being addictive , this was my 7th cruise and I never want to leave the ship then have to wait till I can go again! I love cruising . However my first post was a bit premature I spoke to soon. I did have a good cruise and was ready for a break . I said I had met a bloke on the cruise and we were still intouch, we were until 4 days ago and then I rang him Tuesday night all was ok at first then after a short conversation he told me he had met someone else. I am truly heartbroken . After the first day we met we really got on . We didn't do anything naughty I like to get to know someone first. But we both fell for each other , this man told me he loved me . He bought me lots of gifts over £150 . Our last night he ordered the best champagne and even asked me to marry him. Now I'm struggling to come to terms with it all. He told me our last night he was afraid I wouldn't contact him and forget him.We live 192 miles appart I am In York he 's in Thame Oxford. I feel as if I 've dreamt it all. But I still had a nice time but wish I had gone on the 2nd cruise I had choice to go on then I wouldn't be in so much pain now.
