We had three booked, but two (back to back)have had to be cancelled due to insurance refusing to cover! And there was no time to arrange alternative cover. However, we are hoping to find an alternative cruise very soon.

Sorry to hear that, Gill. It is so frustrating, isn't it. My husband always says I'm a much bigger risk than him as I haven't been near a Doctor in many years but he is checked regularly for his heart condition and on appropriate tablets. Hope you get sorted with insurance soon

We have 4 cruises booked for this year as we feel that insurance might be more expensive next year when Ken turns 75 and I turn 70 and it is possible that we will have to consider holidays in Britain.

As you will have so much luggage to cope with for that fantastic cruise, would you like me to accompany you on the cruise to carry some for you and ease your burden.

Have a fantastic time, Carole, you lucky, lucky lady. Very jealous.

I seem to remember we met briefly on Ventura about this time last year, so you're obviously a fellow fan of escaping the after-Christmas/ January effect. We're off on our escape on 6 January, on Balmoral.

Have a wonderful time.

Yes I do remember. We have often been to the Caribbean early in the New Year but this time will be a whole new experience - all my husband's idea and it's me who likes sea days, not him! Still he'll have plenty of time to get accustomed to it. I hope you enjoy Balmoral. We were back on Fred Olsen's Braemar for the first time since 2003 this last summer. I'll be interested to hear how you found Balmoral. Our Braemar cruise was a two week Caribbean fly cruise and we enjoyed it very much.
