You need to enlighten us about just what a "carpet" parade is Happydays?
The carpets don't parade  a lot of the roads are closed today as people are making the carpets they lay coloured sawdust evenly on the road the size of a large carpet depending how many are helping to make it. Then elaborate stensils are layen on top and decorated using different colours, all bright then the procession walks through it scattering it all around the street seemingly it's about the one time the street cleaners come out quickly in case it rains as all the sawdust would block the drainage. The main Processions start at 3am tonight  not intending to go that early! Aiming for 5.30-6am.

Got a receipt from Wyvale garden centre yesterday for just two items purchased. No word of a lie the receipt was at least 12 inches long. Ridiculous

Just thought I'd pass on that little snippet of useful information :D

With the imminent arrival of the Easter Bunny, I wonder if our old friend Cubie is still having problems with rabbits eating his allotment produce?

Watched some of the carpets being made last night the detail is amazing. We got up before 6am to view the carpets they were breathtakingly beautiful :) We also watched a procession it took at least an hour and a half to pass. There were horses, banners and band's and lot's of people. Well worth watching! They continue until late afternoon (roads opening and closing all the time) then a different type starts at 7pm
