I believe leavers are of the opinion that 'Team Empire' was sliding down the league table post WWII, so got a transfer to 'Team Europe' to retain world credibility.
Team Europe, faced with global opposition never wins a cup after Team US and Team China.
Being the star country of THE United Kingdom, we don't need any team, we can take on the world on our own and win! EMPIRE 2.0

Jack why all these football metaphors, the UK is still a major world economy and regardless of how brexit ends up I imagine it will remain so, even if there could be a few bumpy years along the road. I have never tried to be jingoistic, but I am proud to be British and I hope that my grandchildren, and their's, will live long and happy lives in a country that retains the traditional values that Great Britain is admired for worldwide.

Not wishing to be too cruel but she sort of reminds me of the nutty bag lady down the High street, shouting at pigeons.
Also, she seems to have no awareness that her constituency voted to leave the EU as did Sarah Wollaston's
They all stood on a manifesto pledge of honouring the 2016 referendum and then the very next day, started fight the legitimate result.
What a strange way to operate?

I'd be very surprised if she fights 2022 given that her seat is a marginal.

Rather than sex pests, I meant they thought they could get away with anything, simply because of their previous position.

(but yes, both of them are sex pests, allegedly). I can only assume from comments here, that acting like Gazza is the norm in the North.

Those who like me who were advocating the 'take it or leave it' approach to Brexit soon found out that we don't punch above our weight on the European stage. We have in our grasp the opportunity to change that.

If it were just a case of walking away without incurring major problems then l would have been gone months ago but l can't see that crashing out of the EU would succeed without inflicting severe damage on those least able to endure protracted uncertainty.
Theresa May's plan gives us the opportunity to go our own way in the future, and in a way that allows for a far less disruptive exit .. All other options being floated around will lead to equally difficult negotiations with the likelihood of them taking longer than what is on the table now.


When Theresa wins the vote of no confidence tonight l hope all the back stabbers p*ss off back to their constituencies and get on with what they are paid to do..... which is to represent the people who voted for the conservative party and get behind the decisions that the leader and her cabinet think best for the UK.

Long MAY she reign.

They are hardly back stabbers Keefy.
They are doing it in the front and in full public view.

Like you, I think that she will win the vote tonight but a bit like Thatcher with Hestletine, she will be fatally wounded.
It's just a matter of time now.


If her party and cabinet were behind her awful deal, that would be great, but they are clearly not and that is why she has had 22 resignations.

As usual Jack we are in full agreement, even if not for the same reason.
There can really be no other option than for the UK to decline the EU's kind offer of serfdom, and just bloomimg leave, as the result of the vote instructed the government to do.

It's starting to get a bit like the scene from The Life of Brian.
Remember when the hoards were outside his window looking for divine guidance ?
He opened his window and shouted "just EFF OFF."
