"Sneak Preview" of P&O cruises 2014/2015

Unread post by Jan Rosser »

Just received an email from P&O with details of cruises for 2014/15 and the opportunity to pre-register - anyone else had this - haven't had a chance to look at the brochure yet - can't access it on iPad - will have to get the laptop out later. :D

Yes, had it when I got up this morning. Don't think we'll be tempted though.

I got an e-mail from P&O as well as one from Bolsover, not surprisingly with P&O's IT track record I cannot open their attachment, fortunately I had no problem viewing the one from Bolsover.
Have not had time to study them yet and only inside prices are given so no idea what the balcony premium will be. The launch offer is only a 5% reduction plus a further 5% for past passengers and as current Vantage fares only one choice from OBC, free transport or free parking, so not much incentive there.

To get pricing you have to contact P&O and for the med fly cruises the link http://www.pocruises.co.uk/flymed redirects you to a different page.

So no pricing yet.

also suspicious wording on single pricing as it does not mention med fly cruises.

I see Oceana is reverting to formal and evening casual codes for 2014, dropping smart -jacket.

None of us are very enthusiastic  will give it the once over later - not very optimistic that this little solo cruiser is going to find any great bargains

We are quite looking forward to the new flymed. We did want to try Azura, but nothing suitable in the school holidays

just browsed it and very disappointed with short breaks, as have finally managed to talk my son and DIL (after 10 years) into trying a cruise for Steve's 65th and all they have is 2 nights or 3 nights same port Zeebrugge - but on the three night you spend one day at sea now... so no extra port charges!!!!

Seems to me that the price are a bit more realistic than 2013 brochure and there seems to be a levelling out of the extortionate prices they have been charging this year on Adonia.

Only had a very quick flick and it looks like the Caribbean prices may be a bit more reasonable

Well I for one am very disappointed at the selection of cruises on offer at the time of year that we like to cruise.
I have even looked at what the other cruise lines are offering with the same result. Only Fred Olsen left to look at when they are released.
What am I going to do!!!

Does anyone actually know what date the cruises go on sale as only one we can do for our short 3 day birthday cruise next year so want to book it. Don't want to pre-register as P&O allocate the cabin number and we want 3 balcony cabins adjacent to each other and one inside opposite....

A bit tempted at the idea of fly-cruising to the med. Interesting to see how long Ventura is away from Southampton.

I had the e-mail and now have a mini brochure.

We are very pleased to see Ventura's extended Med selection and also the new Ports, and lower prices, regarding Adonia.

Everything else it seemed was routine and possibly even less Port intensive than hitherto which, if correct, would cause us to book elsewhere.
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

According to P&O the web links mentioned in the new brochure will not be active until 11th April so if you want pricing for say a Med fly cruise before then you will have to contact P&O

Newsflash - IGLO seem to have from prices for each cruise and cabin grade. You type the cruise reference number into the search box. For example N410 gives you the prices for Ventura 14 nights on 7th May. single inside cabin £2099 but i do not know if that includes the air fare!. If it does not the single supplement is 75%

We were trying to work out if it includes air fare as they are approx £200-300 more than Boslover and P&O's 'from' price

MOB,
Even though I was disappointed with the information gleaned online, I was looking forward to having a brochure but as we are currently 'snowed in' it looks like I will be disappointed again.
Oh well in the grand scheme of things it's all trivia really, isn't it?

Ann ...

I don't actually mind being slightly disappointed with online info but I do when the same info is in a printed brochure ... do I need help do you think ?

MOB,
I am like you I suspect in thinking (hoping) that when I actually see the brochure I will find something to excite me. I have always been an optimist but it sounds as if I am doomed to be disappointed again from what you say.
No I don't think you need help but I think P&O need to show more imagination.

The list does have some of that sameish feel to it, though there are interesting fly-Med cruises and the opportunity to stay in the Caribbean for more than a couple of weeks without re-visiting the all same ports

Meg- you will have to watch whether you are into D304 or D403 or you could end up where you don't want to be!
