The only reason l cast doubt on this not being a promotional review is that l can't think why any cruise line would allow a reviewer to post a picture of a cabin which resembles a 'chapel of rest'.

sdurxratbag.....If this is a genuine review then please feel free to give me a good telling off for being so rude about your cabin p242....Indeed, if anyone else has been laid to rest in this cabin then l send my sincere apologies and condolences.

I had to laugh when you said you don't enjoy people walking slowly in front you. I was SO that person! Even now, 4 years after retirement I'm not a dawdler, and always get out of the way if there's a fast walker behind me!

We stayed in P242 on our last cruise on Ventura and that picture is accurate.
Because of the fold away beds, you had to enter and leave at somewhat of a weird angle.
We soon got used to it so it wasn't a problem, but, what you see is what we got.

Having said that, the price I paid was for the lowest grade obstructed, so this was a bit of a brucie bonus to have a clear view.
We quite liked it and the steward Colin ? was excellent and earned his tip.

The major downside was walking through the gallery to get back and forth.

Hi Barney....l've always opted for balcony cabins which is why we can't afford to cruise that often ( 5 cruises in 20 years)

I've heard it said many times that many are happy to forgo the lack of space/comforts in order to go on more cruises....l would need a couple of 'perezies' thrown in to get me into that cabin

We usually do as well but this was a late 'squeeze in' cruise and the budget didn't stretch that far. I'd just spent 60K on building work.
We enjoyed it very much anyway and not having a balcony does make you get out more.

We've never ventured to an inside cabin yet, but I'll never say never.
