Re: Last One to Post Wins
One's discovered one has a room called a kitchen with a thing called a cooker for cooking one's steaks. Saves a lot of struggling to drag the BBQ out of the garage by which time it is usually peeing down!Manoverboard wrote: 26 Feb 2019, 12:48One has an electric griddle for cooking one's steaks old chaptowny44 wrote: 26 Feb 2019, 10:46It's the longest excuse for not popping down to the supermarket to get a one trip BBQ and a few steaks.![]()

I bet he has onion rings, tomato, peas, chips and mushrooms too.
With prawn cocktail before. And Black Forest gateau after.
Ah those were the days.
All that and a bottle of Spanish red wine for £5 for the two of you.

I'd have thought he would be more of a 'Blue Nun' or Liebfraumilch sort of person.

Re: Last One to Post Wins
I would have you know that since our retirement we have aimed to share the cooking chores. This past Sunday, for example, we had our preferred version of Roast Beef.
After breakfast I leapt into action and personally unwrapped the Fillet Steak, this I then marinated with a generous dash of Olive Oil, ditto Tomato Ketchup … added Salt 'n' Pepper. Approx half an hour before the dinner gong I switched the grill to Medium and cooked the steak to perfection, a hint of pink in the middle and dark racing stripes on both sides. Delish.
Meanwhile while I was relaxing watching the footy ….. Mobietta titted about preparing then cooking the roasted veges. We had mini roasts using Albert Bartlett's Red Potatoes plus Aubergine, Courgette, banana shallots and vine cherry tomatoes. In addition there were red, green and orange Peppers plus black olives, Yorkshire puddings and Caramelised Onion Gravy.
The wine was a Chianti Classico from Waitrose.
Didn't have our pudding til Tuesday
ps … Yes, we still do Giant Prawn Cocktails and Black Forest Gateaux … the kids and Grandchildren think they are wonderful.
pps … must go, Mobietta is calling me for lunch.

Yep, had to pay the dentist a visit myself a couple of weeks ago to get a filling sorted out. Didn't want that playing up while on hols.
