We've had a couple of very hectic days launching the new shop.

Who said that there is no money around.

The opening day on Friday 1st massively exceeded our expectations. Saturday was a bit quieter but still pretty good.

Mrs B seems to have found the formula on what a certain type of lady likes, fashion wise, so credit to her.

We've been in business for years and no matter what, there is a common thread that runs through every business.
That is, it's a lot easier to find suppliers than customers.
For that reason alone, the EU will (eventually) agree a mutually beneficial trade agreement with the UK.
Outside of the EU, the UK will be it's largest customer.

I was actually stopped in the street yesterday afternoon by some sort of Anti Brexit lobby on the streets of Bideford.
They were lobbying for support for another referendum.

I obviously declined to sign their petition but did ask which way they would vote should the UK apply to rejoin in the future.
I was met with total silence.
Then, after a few moments of thinking, a lady said 'but if we apply to join, we will have to be in the Eurozone & Schengen and probably lose our rebate'

"Exactly" I said.
So, would you vote for it?

"No" she replied, " I wouldn't"

So, why the fuss about leaving something that you wouldn't join ?

Very good

Now that's just plain sneaky barney!!!
The chair of the Chamber of Trade came to welcome us OBF, and then randomly started having a rant about Brexit and how the world is doomed !!!
When I told her that I supported leaving the EU and I thought that the world looked very rosy, she looked at me like I was something stuck to the bottom of her shoe.

Takes all sorts, but I am beginning to suspect that Brexit is causing some sort of mental illness.
Why would a total strangers start inflicting their political beliefs on others?
Now, we know why a certain two subjects are banned !

I see Norway are taking a long term view, rather like Jacob Rees Mogg saying that we won't see the benefits of Brexit for 50 years.

That's not much consolation for people losing their jobs now.
But the statistics say more people are gaining jobs right now than losing them. And this is the time of uncertainty. Once it is done and dusted business will know where it is and life will go on. If we're gaining jobs when things are uncertain, how much better when we're moving forward.

Yes it is a long term view. A long term view that the UK is a sound place to invest.

And why quote JR-M now? You've told us how he and his fellows lied during the campaign? Why suddenly believe him now? There are plenty of others who believe the hiccup will be much shorter.

Of course it's awful for people who lose their jobs, at any time, but that's always happened and always will with or without Brexit. There are plenty who lost them when they moved within the EU over the past 40 years. I lost mine once. My brother lost his several times. Long, long, long before Brexit.

Of course it was Jack. Remind me when they're all going to jail?

Or is the fact that they asked the Electoral Commission ahead of the referendum, who gave them an incorrect answer, and therefore would be accessories before the fact, giving the CPS cold feet?

I'll happily bow to your superior knowledge Jack, but my understanding was that Bank's crew asked the electoral commission for advice on whether they could legally do something or other with funds and were told that it was ok to do.

Then, retrospectively, the EC pulled them up on it because someone challenged the legality of it.
When it was pointed out that they had only done what they were told was alright to do, the EC went a bit quiet and dropped it.

If that is not the case and they did something totally illegal, then I'd expect the full weight of the law to come down on them.

Carol Caddwalledr has dedicated every waking moment to trying to prove illegality and the best she has come up with is suspicion.

Well, I'm suspicious of where the remain cowboys are getting their funds and who is financing the nutty stop Brexit guy who is outside Parliament every day.
Someone must be subbing him to live in London and not work.
I'd bet on Soros.

Like being a little bit pregnant?
They broke the law and were found guilty.
But you are quite correct, where is the full weight of the law? More corruption as the investigations are going to be after we have left and then no doubt, quietly dropped. It all stinks.

You might be right there. "The High Court has ruled today that Vote Leave did break their spending limit and so the law" does not mean they have been found guilty, yet. I have to apologise for getting ahead of proceedings there, and as I said above the judgement will no doubt be postponed until it is too late to rectify. British justice, another casualty of Brexit.
