On the back of the Mother's Day card Trish received this morning. "For ages 5 plus". I wonder who might buy one for a mother under 5?

The Northern hemisphere springs to mind

A lovely bright Mothers day here with lots of blue in the sky.
Cold and grey here with a biting wind. A bit different from yesterday when we were down the garden in full sun having first BBQ of the season.

I am back and ready to go after a great break, and I trust you all had (and are having) a nice time on your travels.Had a quick read through the last few posts and see you have been having a go at poor Janis and 'her little problem' Shame on you, you can all stay in tonight as a punishment. A nice sunny day all day, but 10c lower than Saturday. I will just rest a while here and enjoy pole position.

Tricia managed to get you back then without being accused of DOPE smuggling.

About 9. Good flight, arrived half an hour early. Luggage came quickly and much to my surprise :sarcasm: :sarcasm: we were still able to use the EU passport lane!

I assume that's after the 18kg drugs bust on MSC Opera which docked in Funchal last week with a bit of help from our National Crime Agency.
MSC seems to be the cruise line that have the most drug carrying passengers

Customs weren't shy when we docked in Southampton recently. They were everywhere including a sniffer dog.

Sniffer dogs eh …

Some years ago we landed at Palermo. After the passport formalities and baggage reclaim etc we were all shown into a large room. Once inside a number of dog handlers plus their dogs arrived, the doors were closed and the dogs set free to sniff us out for drugs.

Once out of the airport and away on the coach we dared to joke that is was so that the Mafia retained full control of the movement drugs in and out of Sicily. The dogs may have been pussy cats at heart but they deffo scared the **** out of most of us.

:lolno:

When we went through customs at Southampton after the TA from the Caribbean, customs were in the process of unloading some guys case loaded with baccy and another table had a pile on it already being tottet up for duty.
Silly really, as HMCR are on board for the last three days from the Azores, and you have no idea what they are up to behind the scenes.
