P&O Admin - it just gets better !

We are booked on Arcadia for J308 to Iceland and Norway in July and have just received an update from P&O to advise us that ORIANA will be at anchor in Dublin Bay for the duration of the call and will be tendering.

Does this mean we have to transfer from Arcadia to Oriana and then to the tender ?!

I am convinced they are employing chimps in the office - you pay peanuts.....!!

They've now gone and swapped Flaam for Olden in the itinerary "due to a port conflict". I'm beginning to get a sinking feeling about this cruise !

Thanks for the sympathy, Andrea. We have been to Flaam before and really liked it and I was so looking forward to the railway trip this time. I am sure there is a genuine reason for P&O making the change and I am not the sort to make a fuss about something like that. Perhaps I ought to march up to reception and demand "compensation" !!

As seasoned cruisers say , that can be expected. I pick a cruise for its itinerary and start planning trips etc, so I know how I would feel. I am sure something will look interesting at other ports.

Well it could be if you have a slice of cake and a glass, or two, of fizz to drink at the aft end as the ship glides majestically along the Fjord. Stunning on Oriana anyhow with a white classical piano playing us out ... if you can lay your hands on one of course

I booked a fly cruise for May 2014 on monday

Yesterday i got an email from P&O reminding me to fill in the cruise personaliser details etc etc.

We paid £100 onboard deposit for a cruise on condition that it could be used against an as yet unadvertised cruise in the latter part of 2015. I was told by the salesgirl on Ocean that I'd get written confirmation but one month on, nothing. The first email elicited the response that yes, I'd paid the deposit, but now I understand that the brochure won't be printed until after the 12 months are up, I'm rather anxious to know that P&O will honour the verbal agreement. Two subsequent emails seeking clarity have been ignored.

Qbman1, you are lucky to have received a notification from P&O, LOL,. We are also on this cruise and have still received nothing. I only found out when I was looking at this cruise on their website for the excursions and noticed that our cabin grade has been reduced by over a thousand pounds under the "lovely" getaway.

Shame we aren't going to Flaam as the sail in and out is beautiful, and the walk to the little church by the river is lovely. Oh well, we are really looking forward to the cruise and the fabulous weather we are going to have.

Nope didn't get a notification about that either, just noticed it when I found out about flaam.

The last time we went to the Fjords 2 years ago we had temps in the high 70's and no rain in Bergen, it was boiling hot, so I have ordered the same again.

Can't wait as Arcadia is my favourite ship. Just love it in Intermezzo, Orchid bar and resturant and that wonderful spa. Should you want to meet me you will find me in the spa on the 3rd hot bed, which has my name on so don't you dare put your towel on it.

Hello and only 5 days to go!!! I agree that notification of changes has been non existent and we only noticed the change of port in Norway when logging in to find out the excursions!!! Oh well hoping to have a great time, at least will be away from the awful UK weather, although it appears to be suddenly improving on Sunday...
