So far we have had no rain. On the radar East Anglia sticks out and the rain seems to miss us, although saying that, Stephen may be getting some now.
The wind is blowing a hooley now about 68mph and may get stronger yet.
Neighbors fence panel down.
No rain yet Ray, but it's on its way.
According to the beebs forked sticks it should arrive around 1pm.
So far in the North Southlands it's wet and windy but nothing like threatened. Maybe later. Hatches battened and loose items in garden removed. I've lashed Trish to the chimney to keep an eye on the TV aerial.

One does but only for emergencies when the local transmitter is broken. There's more than enough on the terrestrial channels without shelling out for Sky etc, not being sport fans.
Anyway …. update. Lashing down now and getting friskier. Trish has requested a coffee up there. I've refused on health and safety grounds. She might spill it.

When we moved to Darzet even Currys in Dorchester couldn't get a decent signal without a dish so we bought one just for the Freeview channels but added SKY at a later date. It is still the case so without SKY we would use a Humax Freesat Box.

Well the rain has truly arrived and on a strong wind now, westerly, from being southerly. Had a job hearing the wife as we are sitting in the conservatory, no bad thing I suppose, but it is lashing down. Looks like it is moving down south.

Had to abandon after all. Forgot to renew the gas bottle.
Had a walk around the grounds this morning checking out any damage. Nothing to report thankfully.
Saga Spirit of Discovery refused entry to Gibraltar because of Noro. Heading back to Southampton.
Had a call today to say our pick up and embarkation is three hours later while a specialist team does a deep clean. It's only 4 nights but we've packed for a month, just in case anyone on board is just back from the Far East!
