She's still being difficult about popping up to adjust the TV aerial. I've offered to hold the ladder steady.

But make sure she climbs the warmer south side of the chimney stack and avoids walking on the roof tiles cos they could break and cause another dangerous job for her.

Ah ... but if they have reclaimed clay tiles they will probably break under the weight of her walking on the ridge ladder :o

But have you carefully examined the reclaimed tiles ... the very thin ones ( tiles ) do break very easily

When we first went there was before they had a booze licence and you could take your own wine.

Did you ever have less than four puddings?

We also took our own wine and the visits at that time normally involved a group of eight of us so between us we could have had sixteen puddings .... if only

Still fine here so I'm off to mow the grass before that changes as forecast later.

In the meantime in the headlines I just got a £1 Sainsburys slot for next week. BTW I interrogated the deliverer last week. They are based at our local store but rather like Moby's lot cover a big area.

And thank you to Microsoft for the latest software update which logged me out of all the sites I regularly use.

Lovely sunny weather here although with a strong cool breeze.

Just walked up to the post office with Mrs S using it as our daily walk. Told a motorist what I thought of him on the way back. Completely blocking the pavement with his car while chatting to a couple of ladies. What triggered it was an elderly couple had to cross over because of his car.

And of course you get the usual sarcastic verbal back. Thick as shite some people. I could have quite easily walked over and landed him one, the prat.

But instead of that you cowered behind the elderly couple until the car was out of sight.

ps ... don't tell Merv but I got a free delivery slot for this coming Monday

 .

Who me. Never

I waited until I was at least a hundred yards down the road before I told what I thought of him. I didn't let his one leg and walking sticks put me off either :D
