Marriages, of that time, at Astbury Church were not entirely successful it seems
It started to go pear shaped when the builder put the tower in the wrong place. Had the plans upside down apparently.

Stephen, I was just thinking of Maldon with all the chat above, there is a nice Italian restaurant, I think it is near Market Hill in town, nice place, have you per chance dined there? Luigi

Have been watching channel 5 (repeat) of cruising with Jane McDonald round South America. It has brought a smile to our faces, she is so enthusiast and enjoying her cruise. Just wishing for better times to get on a cruise⚓😄

The only one I can think of is Intimo Fresco, which is down the high street. Wasn't over impressed with it when we went and cost a fortune. ...Giovanni :D

Yes, I had a guess that was the one. Nope, can not remember the chippy, if fact, I can't remember Maldon. I realize why, I have never been there.
So still our paths have not crossed.
You can try and sell Maldon to me as to why I would want to visit it. I am sure there must be things going for it other than the mud flats
