Trish makes custard with custard powder and sterilised milk, like her Nana did. In fact we call it Nana's milk. And it comes out as creamy as the tinned stuff. Lovely. And like tinned rice pud but not keen on home made. And the latter takes a lot longer too.Manoverboard wrote: 03 May 2020, 14:42I like rice but NOT rice pudding .... Gravy spread for bread.
Homemade rice pud is heaven in a basin.

In our house the grandchildren just love ' Nana's Trifle ' ... it could be the volume of sherry in it of courseMervyn and Trish wrote: 03 May 2020, 15:04Trish makes custard with custard powder and sterilised milk, like her Nana did. You can't beat Ambrosia custard. We get the little individual cartons as it's usually only me that eats it. A minute in the microwave, job doneMervyn and Trish wrote: 03 May 2020, 15:04Trish makes custard with custard powder and sterilised milk, like her Nana did. In fact we call it Nana's milk. I prefer it cold, from a tin and straight out of the fridge. Mobietta will have the same ... if she expects to get any.Stephen wrote: 03 May 2020, 16:18You can't beat Ambrosia custard. Re: Last One to Post Wins
Well now, I thought John would know who quoted
"Without freedom of choice there is no creativity."
it was of cause Cpt James T Kirk.
And as for Merv not knowing, Shall I compare thee to a summer’s day?’
It was dear old William Shakespeare, sonnet 18
I leave you with,
Real knowledge is to know the extent of one's ignorance.

I did no such thing
I wandered lonely as a compost heap ... perhaps not there yet, needs more work I feel

Throw Me On The Compost Heap by
Gary Wayne Hill.
Throw me on the compost heap
My old Nan used to say
No fancy funeral for me
When I pass away
They are a waste of money
A complete waste of time
I don't want you wasting money on funerals
Especially if it's mine
Just put me in a bin bag
Or maybe some old sack
Tie it up with a piece of string
And throw me out the back
Indeed, she did end up out the back
Helping the daffodils grow
Though we did have her cremated first
I'm sure you'll be relieved to know.

Make the most of it as they're talking about a cold spell over the weekend, if you can believe it.

I have some plants ordered on line. As soon as I receive notification of delivery I expect the monsoon season to begin.
