Isn't it sad how excited we get over the most mundane things  Mind you I've had a good morning - cheque from P&O and a delivery from M&S - new slippers and pyjamas
.... and I got some new white socks ( without any holes in them ) from the ' Sock Shop ' via Amazon

Nice day here sunny with light cloud and a gentle breeze but still humid. Had to make our dogs lunchtime walk a bit shorter as she was starting to pant:)

If anything the weekend was better than the forecast. Even better was the chance to give our granddaughter some big hugs, the first since February, a nice day had by all.

Lovely Ray - so jealous - we are still on the five mile radius lockdown so chances of seeing any of my grandchildren very slim

The distance between us and any generation of ours ranges from 100 miles to 11 hours flying time :(

To see our grandson it's about 26 hours (if you're lucky) flying, no hugs for us this year😭 hopefully shall be able to get flights to see them early next year.

Glad some parents/grandparents are starting to see family. 😁 lucky you!

Hopefully we may get some hugs soon. Our reservation is nothing to do with govt guidance but simply that our daughter works in a care home, so is vulnerable to infection or carrying it. Because she is a key worker the grandchildren also go to school so may pick it up. But a bigger concern than that is that they spend time with their estranged father who seems to think inviting the neighbour's kids round to play is okay. None of them show any signs of infection but it is a concern for we crumblies.

No rain yesterday but looks more promising later today and tomorrow. It'll save getting the sprinkler out.

The garden one, not mine.

It doesn't look very promising looking out the window just now. Currently sunny with white cloud.
