What a lovely couple of days, is this the summer's final fling?
The nice thing was the beach had just a few families enjoying the sunshine, so acres of space.
Does not look too bad the coming week.

A bit different today, Gloomy with white/grey cloud. Warm though and should brighten up by mid-day with a high of 26deg.

That was the 10.25 forecast.

Getting a new gas boiler fitted tomorrow. The excising one has been very temperamental for a few months, my husband decided to replace it as it's almost 13yrs old. Got to be prepared for the winter :)

Should you not be replacing it with one of these new fangled heat pumps?

We had a new Vaillant boiler fitted nearly two years ago after the old one of 24 and half years was on its last legs. I should have put a warranty claim in really for the old one but hey ho. :)

Boiler being fitted at the moment 😀 it's a nice sunny day but chilly and the front door is wide open. My dog is lying across my lap and keeping me warm, lucky me😂

They should do it anyway, but make sure they bleed all the radiators before they clear off otherwise you'll have little or no heat.

Hang on there, I'm still in shorts and sandles. It's going to get warmer next week.

So am I but without the sandals. Nippy today with a high of 15deg and a fresh breeze even though the sun is out. Might be a log burner evening tonight when it drops to 11 around 6pm.

Not sure about it warming up next week Ray, at least not around here unless you call 16deg warm.

Lovely day yesterday, BUT, today will be a challenge, not stopped raining since 18.00 and a very strong Northerly. Difficult walking into it.

Miserable here too. The heating kicked in first thing, not surprising really when it was just 7deg out.

Trying to brighten up here.

Yesterday I went for my daily half mile walk round the block in T shirt and shorts. This morning it was trousers and fleece. It's as if someone had flicked a switch.

It's now 36 hours and this storm is not looking to stop anytime soon, overnight the beach has come to us with a layer of sand covering the patio and the garden furniture, windows and the roof plus the car.
On Friday the anometer at our lifeboat station registered 70+ mph, now we have the overhead lines down all over the place and 220 trees down overnight, luckily our power went out during the night and was restored at 04.40.
Went for a walk to the village, had me oily jacket and hat on plus shorts and sandles, it's not that cold yet.
Should blow out this afternoon I hope.
Don't worry, be happy

LOGS  .
In the times years ago they had a job to get rid of the fallen trees, couldn't give them away. Now every tree has a price.
It's still blowing hard outside. Yesterdays power cut was from 15.00 to 21.15, had dinner by candle light, very romantic. 😍

I saw the weather forecast a few days ago, and wondered if it was time to take thr gazebo down, but the local forecast had winds not exceeding 10mph. so I left it - and fortunately the local one was right!
