Such a shame .... it seems that even the much needed break didn't quite work out as you would both have hoped for but perhaps it will be the moment in time when the cause of John's ongoing health issues will be finally understood and hopefully resolved. The appendix op is almost routine these days but I do genuinely hope and pray that you are not facing pancreatic cancer for that is something to be avoided if at all possible.
