Yes we watched the Barbados program as well. Nice if you can afford the cost of living out there.

Petty cash for you, can't take it with you but I know you're still investigating the possibility of it.Stephen wrote: 30 Nov 2020, 10:09Yes we watched the Barbados program as well. Nice if you can afford the cost of living out there.

Re: Last One to Post Wins
I have to thank Towny for the tip on Sainsbub's Delivery Passes.
Prior to acquiring one, apart from the price, I could only see delivery slots up to a week or ten days ahead.
I've now got a slot reserved every Tuesday afternoon from now up to Christmas.

Funny thing was that I had the 24th, 1st, 8th and 22nd booked but not the 15th. The £4 delivery charges were automatically dropped as soon as I signed up for the ' pass '. This morning I returned to the ' Slots to see if I could book the 15th but once again I was looking at a symbol that I took to be ' Wait Listed ' but then finally it dawned on me

Yes I noticed that myself, before I bought the pass It was saying I had to wait until 30th Nov for a xmas slot of 20th Dec, afterwards I managed to book a 22nd Dec delivery last Wednesday.Mervyn and Trish wrote: 01 Dec 2020, 13:05I have to thank Towny for the tip on Sainsbub's Delivery Passes.

Re: Last One to Post Wins
I had been operating on 10 and 11 day gaps in our deliveries and choosing Mondays and Thursdays at 1:00 - 2:00pm, with normal cost of delivery £1 -£2, So it was quite a big leap to find hourly slots at that time jump to a min of£4. I have now changed to Tues and Thurs so the gaps are now 9 or 12 days. I think I prefer to keep the deliveries down to 3 a month rather than every week and always tying up the same day, not that we are going anywhere in the current system, but we had found it a bit more relaxing than always shopping on the same day.

We get Tuesday from Sainsbubs, Thursday veg box from the milkman and eggs and yoghurts from the milkman any day except Sunday if we put a note out the night before. And of course milk daily except Sunday.
