On this one l agree with Ray.....There is a black market for anything not least vaccines....probably not so much in this country but you can be sure there will be plenty who will pay to jump the queue.

I imagine that until a lot of other countries authorise the vaccines for use, then it will be impossible for it to get into the black market, because it will be too easy to trace its source. In addition the Biontec and Moderna ones will be very difficult for the black market to handle, so they will need to wait for the Oxford or similar vaccines to come available and their distribution to become more relaxed. By that time the UK could be well into vaccinating the under 50s making the black market option of little use.

A fair assumption John but l would argue that until such time that countries do get authorisation and supplied with the vaccine they will be prime targets for the black market. I wasn't suggesting there would be thousands of prospective takers but for the rich and privileged there will be plenty of vaccines finding there way into the back of a refrigerator lorries... and I dare say, a few NHS consulting rooms.

While we are the subject of refrigerated lorries I don't suppose you'd be interested a few frozen turkeys going cheap would you? ;) :D

There will be one problem of having the Covid vaccine from a black market source and that is that you will not be on the register as having been vaccinated which will make some aspects of life (such as foreign travel) difficult.

Anyone who buys their vaccine from a bloke round the back of the pub deserves what they get. Which will probably be Covid.

Typical media negativity.

Sky News headline.

"Vaccine will only have marginal affect"

You have to read the full story to get the next bit:

"....on number of Covid patients coming in to the NHS over the next three months".

Well it's rubbish then. I won't bother with it.

So we are going to spend billions around the world on developing, producing and squirting something which "will only have marginal effect". I sometimes wonder what planet these Sky reporters are on. Why do they consistently do their best to run this country down?
In the meantime I'll be joining towny in the JVT Appreciation group. As an afterthought I wonder how many of the Sky reporters, presenters and workers will be having the vaccine. You'll probably be crushed in the queue!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed his rebuff to the ITV reporter (I think) on Wednesday, when he said he her comment that the govt had failed to meet its promise that care homes would be first to have the jab was grossly unfair, because care homes could not as yet use the Biontech until the MHRS agreed a safe handling protocol.

Its my Sue's birthday today. There were days in 2018 when I wondered if Sue would make this far. Thanks to our marvellous NHS, and thanks to her amazing sparky spirit, she is celebrating. Gutsy little lady.

We like Jonathan Van Tam, and Chris Witty. It seems to me that only the know all media hacks who cant see that they are talking sense.
