Oh - nothing serious thenoldbluefox wrote: 08 Dec 2020, 10:09She broke coronavirus lockdown rules after her 60th birthday bash. Oh dear!!!!
The remedy is simple - sack her, no ifs or buts but straight out, do not pass go, do not collect whatever is outstanding on your contract.
We need to get tough with anyone and everyone who breaks the rules/laws - only by doing that will we ever stand a chance of getting over this.

Re: Current Affairs
Considering what the sanctimonious little ***** said about Cummings at every available opportunity she should be offering her resignation. If you live by the sword you die by the sword. And the bonus is Beth Rigby was reportedly there as well!!!david63 wrote: 08 Dec 2020, 10:33Oh - nothing serious thenoldbluefox wrote: 08 Dec 2020, 10:09She broke coronavirus lockdown rules after her 60th birthday bash. Re: Current Affairs
Oh my God.
Cummings broke the rules (before you all start, yes he did). He was instrumental in making the rules, he never apologised and Johnson lost any moral authority he had by backing him.
For the last 8 months you’ve all been desperately trying to brush this off as nothing, yet, when some news presenter breaks the rules you are like a pack of hounds baying for her to be sacked.
Unbelievable....... but not unexpected

The government made the rules. Not Cummings. The media were baying for his blood. The police investigated and concluded his journey to Durham didn't break the rules and that his ill advised trip to Barnard Castle was a minor breach that would have not have incurred a fine but would have resulted in him being advised to go home. The media, including Sky continued to bay for his blood. Now one of their number breaks the law. Will her colleagues now bay for her blood?

Well they said Cummings escapade would result in everyone breaking the rules. I managed to resist. But I'm having a bl**dy party now! Ah but Rita Ora is allegedly donating her six figure fee to charity - so that makes it alright.

P.s Sorry David I didn't see your post before posting mine.
People make mistakes.
But, I do hope that she reflects on her behaviour and is a bit more sympathetic when others transgress.
Her aggressive interviewing style and snide comments leaves a lot to be desired.
One thing is for sure, she will never have the moral high ground on this issue again.

Well if it's the sanctimonious duo of Burley and Rigby we'll all be having a party. They always know better than Boris and think they have all the answers so I'm with them.Mervyn and Trish wrote: 08 Dec 2020, 14:06Well they said Cummings escapade would result in everyone breaking the rules. There are people who are never wrong and are brazen enough to find an excuse from somewhere for anything. It puts Sky's reporting on very dodgy ground when they try to take the high moral ground.

Re: Current Affairs
Do you really think so OBF Kay Burley is a smart lady and is now one of the top media journalists. She did not have the silver spoon entry the profession demands these days, coming from an ordinary family and attending state school. Sky are far from fools and she would not have gained such prominence if she was not so competent. This will soon be yesterdays news, and Ms Burley, continue asking the questions we would wish to askoldbluefox wrote: 08 Dec 2020, 14:45OL might but I wouldn't bet on it.barney wrote: 08 Dec 2020, 14:39

Re: Current Affairs
If that's addressed to me - they broke the rules. They shouldn't break the rules.
All people who break the rules should get fined including Burley and Rigby.
The problem is that people who break the rules don't get fined often enough, but unfortunately there isn't enough manpower to do this.
