She's abandoned me again and bu99ered off to work. Getting there slowly although still very uncomfortable. Not sure if he used a scalpel or a chain saw going by the amount of bruising. Surprising how small things like walking up the stairs tires you out.

Don't try to rush it. Apart from the wound I think it takes time for the effects of the anaesthetic to wear off. Hopefully in a few days you'll feel the benefit of the op. In the meantime put your feet up until her indoors gets home to cook your dinner and soothe your brow. I presume she did light the fire and leave your slippers warning.

Did she hell.
A glass of water and some stale bread to last me all day. The heating's been turned off and a padlock put on the log burner. She also left a list of jobs for me to do. How the hell she thinks I'm supposed to adjust the roof aerial I don't know.
