Norway, Kristiansands & Eidfjord
Myself and mum (80 years old) are going to Norway with P&O in June. We have been before but never been to Eidfjord and Kristiansands. Any help and comments would be gratefully received.
Eidfjord we were looking at doing a trip with P&O , either Scenic Hardanger or Hardangervidda Sights and Scenery, the latter going to the dam, which I was alittle concerned about the steep uneven walk to the dam.
Kristiansands we were looking at the trip Tommersto and Lillesand , or to DIY. The walking tour would be no good for mum as she couldn't keep up, need to take alittle bit more time over the cobbled streets.
Olden we were looking at Kjenndalen Glacier and Lovatnet Lake trip. We have walked down to the little church etc and taken an inland tour before. The glacier that you walk to from the coach would be no good for mum.
Many thanks
Carol

At the time I wrote ...
Cristiansand, Norway
A walk around sort of place that would take a maximum of half a day, including time for going back to the ship for lunch, so we opted for an excursion on a steam train though the surrounding countryside. Our guide also took us to his own home, not an official part of the tour, which was a traditional wooden clapper board style house in the oldest part of town. We then walked about on our own. A pretty and homely seafaring resort - just don't book a fortnights holiday there.

Keep smiling, it's good for your well being
