You are correct Mob, I think my dashing good looks allowed her to overlook any small misgivings she had on the night. ;)

I hope the Government get their act together and start pushing out the message that those who have had the vaccine e.g. age /vulnerable, care worker staff, health workers etc, that they mustn't relax their 'personal' infection transmission safeguards just because they themselves will be less susceptible to the effects of the virus....both in the work place and within their personal lives.....complacency will be a silent killer.
I’ve wondered about that too.

I reckon there’ll be some vaccinated people who think they’ll be able to roam the cafes and garden centres without their masks.

Everybody with a brain will know what to do and will not need to be hand led by the Government. Our Surgery, I have been advised, will provide written advice at the time of the first jab.

That just leaves the thickos to do what thickos choose to do

I am fairly certain that Basil and the experts did stress, at Mondays briefing, the continued necessity of maintaining the same precautions and social distancing even after we are vaccinated, until such time as we are able to bring the infection rate under control.

There are those who roam the cafes and garden centres now without a mask and they've not been vaccinated. No attempt at social distancing either but they are either too thick or just don't care. Probably the ones filling up the hospitals as we speak alongside the poor souls they have infected.

Absolutely shocking scenes from the Capitol building in America last night.
Trump has been egging them on for weeks.
Truly awful. What are things coming to.

What surprises me about it is the total lack of security. When we visited the Capitol 18 months ago you could not put a foot out of place without security glaring at you and you would not want to pick a fight with them!

A lesson learnt.

An absolute disgrace. They should be ashamed of themselves. Apart from the affront of breaching the congress building there are thousands dying around the world from COVID but they had total disregard for it and others around them. I hope the full force of the law comes down on them. They deserve every thing they get, including Covid.

I know that there are not many fans of Mrs Krankie on here but I did like her comment the other day when Trump said that he would be coming over to Turnberry when it is the inauguration:
Non essential travel is illegal in Scotland and playing golf is non essential, and anyway the golf courses are closed
