Cruise No. A211
I moved our 2021 cruise from May 2021 to May 2022, hoping that there will be fewer restrictions by then. As a bonus, it's about £400 cheaper for a similar cabin. That was a surprise!

Our next cruise is May 2022 as we too hope/believe things will be near normal by then.

Believe it or not, i've just checked the price and it's over £1200 more than in Nov 2021!

That was a bonus. Prices have rocketed since we booked last year. I don’t normally bother looking once booked, but a friend who is coming on the same cruise but in a different cabin grade said how much there’s had gone up since he booked, so out of interest I had a look at ours. The same dates, cabin grade and bang opposite on the same deck and the price has increased to over a thousand pound
Good job we booked when we did.

Prices are very silly at the moment.
The cruise I have booked for October 22 on Arcadia for 19 nights has more than doubled.

These price hikes are what’s known in the business as customer loyalty bonuses

P&O used to call it "fluid pricing" which translates to "whatever the traffic will bear"Onelife wrote: 04 Apr 2021, 09:54These price hikes are what’s known in the business as customer loyalty bonuses![]()

Just checked again - it's now £6134 with £360 OBC per cabin. We're paying £4774 with £120 OBC. Thats's for a B deck balcony, which we originally booked for 2021, as there were no C deck cabins available then (as now). This time we have a C deck cabin of the same grade, so same price band.

Ours was Queen Victoria but Cunard have cancelled it. The ship is staying longer as a quarantine ship in the Caribbean. Fingers crossed now for Iona in August.Joyful wrote: 01 Apr 2022, 15:37We are going on the Azura 5th May tooMervyn and Trish wrote: 12 Jan 2021, 21:52Our next cruise is May 2022 as we too hope/believe things will be near normal by then.
