Re: Current Affairs
Reading just before that the police stopped a diver in Wales who had done a 300 mile trip to pick up a piece of plastic trim for his car.
Apparently that is not considered "essential"
I really do not understand some people.

Just wondering whether a brothel counts as an essential business.

Where have they been for the last year?Partygoers breaking lockdown rules said they "never watch the news" so were unaware of the global coronavirus pandemic, police said.

I imagine there are lots of people who don't (can't) read newspapers, and never watch the news. But you need to be a self sufficient hermit without any access to TV or internet, not to know about covid.

Perhaps these people have not noticed that the pubs are shut, the shops are shut and everyone is going around wearing a mask

Re: Current Affairs
We can always rely on the intelligent ones involved in the snowball fight in Leeds.
"It was a very welcome relief… a welcome laugh that people needed".
Number of deaths approaching 100k, hospitals full to capacity, NHS on its knees and struggling to cope, operations cancelled, businesses collapsing etc etc but they needed "a welcome laugh", Bless!!!
Thank goodness the lads who went to war in 1914 and 1944 had more bottle.

Let's not forget the 'Karen's' of society, the selfish inbreds who go out looking for trouble

I hope if it goes to court she gets a custodial sentence. A mask is about protecting others.

That really winds me up. The stupid woman obviously had no problem with breathing and chomping her gums so would have no problem with wearing some form of face mask. I don't care what disability you have. No mask no entry, simple. I doubt very much if she got a £200 fine let alone a court appearance. Escorted of the premises and told not to come back was probably all that happened.

Even when our local hospital is 50% over its normal ICU capacity there are those in denial.

Re: Current Affairs
Not a good example but good to know they got fined.............supposedly.
Personally I would have suspended them without pay as well as a fine. They should know better.

Couple in Norfolk over the weekend nicked as the excuse reported by the Deputy C Constable was they were driving from Wisbech to Scratby to buy fish and chips. Round distance 150 miles.
I would have nicked them more for not thinking of a better excuse as well.

Once you got past her dress choice but I thought she gave a star-spangled performance.
