Have I missed the latest political correctness class?

An acquaintance was complaining about the census form giving one of the sexual orientation categories as straight/heterosexual.
I believe that to be the correct terminology but maybe I am wrong. They said just think about what is the opposite of straight.

After some thought I concluded they believed that to refer to a heterosexual person as straight meant a presumption that a homosexual person would be referred to as bent.

So if that is their logic and gay is an excepted term, does that mean that heterosexuals are by the same reasoning to be presumed as dull, drab or miserable?

I believe it's a rent a mob that are the main cause, going from place to place where there is a demonstration planned. Their main intent of inciting trouble and getting the rest of the demonstrators caught up in the frenzy. I'm sure the police and maybe other agencies are looking closely at the footage to see if there is a link with repeat faces showing up.

Be prepared for that knock or ram on the door. Rest assured, it's coming.

His report said Ms Sturgeon had given an "incomplete narrative of events" to MSPs.
But he said this was a "genuine failure of recollection" and not deliberate.

So not only is James Hamilton an independent lawyer who works for the Government he also appears to be a psychologist?

I’m sure the Republic of Ireland will be delighted with his judgment as will the EU.

How could one forget something as serious as first being told one's predecessor as First Minister was accused of sexual misbehaviour? And foirgot it so quickly she didn't mention it to anyone else?

I note from some of the information coming out about the Bristol riot, that it’s straying uncomfortably near to organised crime.
That ups the anti considerably.
Fortunately there are hours of cctv so expect prosecutions, up to and including attempted murder.

It seems they were serial demo attenders. Apart from the violence there was some disgusting behaviour - urinating on the police officers feet, defecating in front of them. There's no reason whatsoever why anyone should have to put up with that sort of behaviour.
A water cannon would be very effective in washing their 'crap' away. I can't think of many (if any) other countries who would put up with that sort of behaviour.

Interesting to hear the EU bod on the news last night claim that the EU would be in the same position on vaccination as the UK if they had not had supply problems. I'm just pleased the interviewer pointed out this is bunkum. Quite apart from any contract issues they took longer to approve any vaccine and actually have stocks of the AZ vaccine they haven't used because of the misleading scientific claims made about by Macron and Merkel and others leading to resistance to its use. Presumably the supply issue line is the one they're using to EU citizens to try to divert attention from their incompetence. And maybe the EU media are swallowing it.

The bit that I am having difficulty trying to get my head around (and I know that I missed most of last week) is why are the EU demanding supplies of AZ vaccine that they do not want to use (and have stockpiled) and preventing any other vaccine being exported to any country that is ahead of the EU in vaccine rollout? The phrase "sour grapes" comes to mind.

I know I have said this before and I am going to repeat it - there is not now or anytime in the future any place for politics where Covid vaccine is concerned.

I was reading something yesterday that whilst the EU can put obstacles in the way and slow the process down they do not currently have the powers to actually ban exports - and they seem to be overlooking that much of the raw materials for the Pfzier vaccine comes from the UK
