If it's seen as a good result that Johnson was found to have acted unwisely in allowing work to begin on his flat without knowing how it would be paid, then we really are in a VERY strange placescrewy wrote: 28 May 2021, 16:22Another kick in the teeth for the anti Johnson brigade.
An independent adviser on Ministerial interests say No conflict of interest in donations for Downing st flat refurbishment.
Also, Hancock guilty of āMinorā breach of Ministerial code.
Iām sure some will dismiss it as a cover up..

Gill, he has an 81 seat majority and is literally untouchable ...... for now.Gill W wrote: 28 May 2021, 16:46If it's seen as a good result that Johnson was found to have acted unwisely in allowing work to begin on his flat without knowing how it would be paid, then we really are in a VERY strange placescrewy wrote: 28 May 2021, 16:22Another kick in the teeth for the anti Johnson brigade.

There is another by-election looming and they may well increase that majority.
Unfortunately, Labour have picked a candidate who wasnāt even a Labour member until chosen.
Thatās going to go down well with the Labour voters.
All anyone can do is accept it is what it is, and like Trump, his luck will run out or heāll get bored with the whole thing.

It's time to cut him some slack. He didn't break the rules. There's nothing in the ministerial codes to say the Prime Minister has to micro manage his household affairs. I'd say given the choice between Brexit, Covid and wallpaper he made the right choices and left the details of the refurbishment to oithers. Or do we also expect him to do his own on line Sainsburys order and ironing?

Hi Gill,Gill W wrote: 28 May 2021, 10:59What do we think of Matt Hancockās body language last night at the press conference.
Looked like he was sweaty, ruffled, uncomfortable - the body language of somebody who is desperate to avoid answering a straight question.
If heās in that state after 20 minutes of questions with yes woman Jenny Harries to back him up, God knows what heāll be like after hours of sustained questions in the committee room!
He tried every avoidance manoeuvre possible but still ended up in a cul-de-sac.
Iām sure he along with the rest of us would like to put all this behind us, however if what Cummings is saying proves to be true then Hancock and Johnson should be made to do community service in one of the care homes they accusingly have let down so badly.

I would suggest whoever talked Johnson out of being injected live on TV with coronavirus should be the one doing the community serviceOnelife wrote: 28 May 2021, 20:52Hi Gill,Gill W wrote: 28 May 2021, 10:59What do we think of Matt Hancockās body language last night at the press conference.

Boris kept that quiet.
Perhaps there was some tax incentive that covers property maintenance bills

Not in the slightest, all that has happened is the person in charge of this country married Boris Johnson.
