... me and a few million others watched the “Good Morning Britain” interview in which Meghan’s father admitted to telling lies about his daughter. I did post the link a few months back but I’m sure you will find it should you doubt my words.
I saw that and wondered, was he lying then or lying now - it is not beyond reason for him to have been honest back then but now being paid to protect his daughter? Mind you a lot of what Samantha said seems to have been more truthful than it first appeared.
You could be right Ken…he comes across as a very sincere man doesn’t, he?

No doubt we’ll read all about it in the next book she writes

Just been reading about some woman trying to get home from Portugal before isolation kicks in tomorrow. One of the reasons she cannot do isolation is that she has a relative who needs daily care - so this relative can manage while she is on her jollies but not the rest of the time?

Some people do themselves no favours!
Correct David, another chap with his wife sitting at a table in Portugal was lambasting the government for spoiling his holiday by changing the rules for coming back to UK. It was a gamble things wouldn't change, they did, so just get on with it and stop belly aching.
Don't worry, be happy

We are in a very transient world at the minute, things can change in days, overnight or even within a few hours. Plan for the worst and hope for the best.

I was wondering if that would affect other cruise lines as well. It could also mean that even staycations could be in jeopardy.

I think that MSC were "trying it on" and have come unstuck. Fred cancelled his cruises that were stopping in Scotland a couple of months ago.

I thought that the staycation cruises were not calling at any ports.

Some of the cruise staycations did have ports listed (for example I think it was P&O that had a visit to Liverpool).
But I was also thinking more generally about even land based staycations (given the rules in place for overseas travel, even staycations are in trouble if the same criteria has to be met)?

Our Silhouette cruise on 31 July is due to stop in Inverness before going into Liverpool on its return to Southampton. We can only disembark if booked on a cruise excursion. We've booked a sightseeing tour of Liverpool but undecided about Inverness. The excursions aren't cheap but we got $150 OBC each for elevating our classic drinks package to premium. Seemed a no brainer for an extra £25 per person per day on our 6 day staycation cruise.

We've booked a staycation leaving on Saturday for a weeks cruise with Viking.
2 stops Liverpool and Falmouth and included excursions. We are just looking forward to checking out the brand new ship and a change of scenery.

I've got been completing the Zoe Covid app for months but I'm unable to do so today. They've added an extra one off question "do you think you've ever had Covid.?" My answer would be no. However, there are three variations on yes as the possible answer and a fourth answer of not sure. There is no option to say no. It won't let me go beyond it. If I select not sure then it asks further questions about the illness I think might have been Covid. Until they amend or delete the question I can't contribute further.

Dear Sir Merv,

I thought I answered this...............obviously not as it hasn't turned up. I had the same question in my phone app and I scrolled down past the the 3 affirmative options to find the No option. Once I selected that it wanted no further info from me.

I hope this helps

Kind regards

Maureen

Mine didn't have a "no" option. I scrolled all the way and all I got was three yes's and a not sure! But they've clearly spotted the error because I've tried again and it now has a no and a prefer not to say. A glitch somewhere.

Can someone explain why Joe Biden does not have to isolate for 10 days when entering the UK when everyone else arriving from the USA has to?

I guess they are tested fairly regularly, and dont have have to isolate unless one of their group tests positive, as happened recently with an Indian delegation.

That maybe plausible, but Macron flew in this morning. He wont be self isolating either given the Summit starts today!

I don't think they'll be gallivanting off anywhere outside the ring of steel anyway and nobody will be going in unless they have been security checked to within an inch of their life.
