A car exploded outside the main entrance to the Liverpool Women’s Hospital this morning,one dead ,one injured.Counter terrorism Police are investigating and a house in Liverpool has been sealed off by armed police, Counter Terror police say it is connected.! If it is,why the hell would anyone want to do this outside a maternity hospital.?

The car was a taxi,apparently the driver saw the passenger ‘ messing ‘ with something and stopped and jumped out,locked the car and ran but not fast enough,he was badly injured,seems it’s the passenger who died.
My daughter works there.

This of course is yet to be confirmed ( not my daughter ) Don’t want to be accused of spreading false news.

Charles looked very upset this morning whether it was anything to do with the Queen or Philip not being there we may never know.

We noticed that as well, it could have been losing his father earlier this year, but equally he could havebeen pondering that it might not be too long before he has lost both of them.

The Queen has served this country very well for more years than she should have been expected to. Now is the time for her to step aside into a well earned retirement and take a back seat role. If Charles replaces her then I believe that will signal the end of the monarchy in the UK (except for ambassadorial and wheeling out for state occasions); if Charlie stands aside and lets William take over then that will signal a more youthful modern monarchy that could well survive several more generations. I believe even some anti-royalists could get behind William (just as long as he includes a few 'like you know's and 'innit's in his coronation speech).

Depends on how well enforced it is.

I read that the unvaccinated can go to work, go out for exercise and shop for food.

It would be better if they were not allowed out of their homes for anything.

I won't be panicking if there is a turkey shortage, which seems unlikely despite what all the doommongers have been saying. There is always chicken, beef or even pork with some lovely crackling. One thing's for sure we will certainly not be going hungry. Merry Christmas.

I thought it was the turkey industry saying they were going to have problems as they couldn't recruit the staff they normally employ from Europe, rather than 'doommongers' saying it

From what I saw on the news at lunchtime, this has apparently been resolved for this year as Visas were granted and they were able to bring in 2500 staff from overseas needed to process the meat.

Years ago, in the mid 70's, I remember listening to a radio programme, where somebody said that it wasn't Charles's destiny to be crowned King. For some reason, I've always remembered this, and, what with everything that has happened since, I have always wondered if he will actually be King. However, I tend to think that he has had a sense of duty bred into him, and he will be unlikely to step aside.

When the time comes for the next monarch, I think it will be a time of even more upheaval and uncertainty. Bearing in mind that you have to be well into your 70's to remember another monarch, it is going to be very hard to adjust to losing the constant figure throughout our lives.

Although William would be a popular figure for the next King, he's got a young family, and I'm not keen on the idea of him being saddled with the burden of kingship before his time.

I would have thought that having a young family would play in his favour. More people could identify with trying to bring up a young family in 21st century. I think when the Queen steps aside we could be in for an interesting ride.

You are partly right. It came initially from the turkey industry but was then picked up by the doommongers from the media and social media who then ran around like headless chickens lamenting there would be no Christmas dinners. Need to get a grip of themselves.

From what I know of the Royal Family Inc they will follow protocol.
Charles is very popular around these parts. He takes a great interest in farming in the Lake District and often visits unannounced without all the usual hullabaloo. And just as quietly as he arrived he leaves.

Not sure what/if his actions played a part in the thwarting of this attack but there won’t be any need for an expensive trial and imprisonment so the people of Liverpool should soon have him back on the road.

As for the other people cars that were damaged one would have thought the Media will soon get to grips with these insurance companies.

I believe that the good people of Liverpool have already raised over £20k for the taxi driver
