I fail to understand why when they announce the daily coronavirus update the don’t say how many of those who have died were not vaccinated… surely by doing so you would increase the update of those reluctant to come forward?

Because it does not state that on the death certificate and I think that the NHS have enough to do without any extra paperwork.

I have heard reports that 75% of those currently in hospital have not been vaccinated which rather annoys me when I consider the number of people with major problems who have had their treatment delayed or cancelled because bed space is being taken up by these people.

If they aren’t prepared to do autopsies on all that have died then what does it matter. If the are administering patients with antivirals and pumping air into their lungs then one would think doctors can make sound medical informed decision about cause of death. Less paperwork will be achieved if those not vaccinated were vaccinated… I would have thought.

But the extra work would be well spent if it led to more people getting vaccinated, especially if any of them had been prolific anti vaxxers on social media.

Well done to those power workers who are trying to get customers reconnected to the grid. They have had to work in remote atrocious conditions.
Why have those, who are vulnerable to power cuts when storms strike, have not had a back up.
Mobile gas cabinet heaters, camping stoves, a stock of candles, lights powered by bottle gas/batteries /kerosene etc can be kept for such emergencies.

David, I was referring to those of any age who may live in ares more likely to be effected by the lines coming down in a storm.
But I agree whit what you say if you are old, with health problems to contact their suppliers to register as a vulnerable person.

Fully agree about the Power workers in atrocious conditions.
Compare that to the pathetic scenes outside Universities with staff having jolly sing songs complaining about working conditions. Yes I know they’re complaining about pay and pensions too.

A heck of a lot more private sector workers have had to face a lowering of their pension benefits as well, and most of those have lost their final salary benefit altogether.
