So you can read anything on Twitter and quote it as fact, but I need to have full chapter and verse before anything I read, or even see on the BBC, can be acceptable to you. That says volumes about you.
So Wales that seem to know more about how to deal with Covid that England are not doing any vaccinations over Christmas, unlike England, and would prefer to impose restrictions on their people.
Do these devolved nations not have access to the same data that England has, or are they just being "bloody minded" because that can?
But don't you know whatever the devolved nations do will be right and whatever England does will be wrong. That's how it works, or so the TV and newspapers tell us. And it's all Boris's fault.
The good lady wanted to visit the shopping centre, normally I wait in the car because I hate all shops, especially large malls, but thought since it was Christmas I would venture in with her ... within 30 seconds I remembered why I don't go into them any more. Since I wasn't in the best of moods, being in this hellish place of retail commerce, the good lady said she would treat me to a cuppa and tray bake. A few minutes after we sat down a family of 4 sat down on the table beside us. Within a few seconds I could tell the daughter (maybe about 13) was not well, she did nothing but snort, cough, sneeze and blow her nose. We quickly got up and left.
What sort of idiotic parents take an obviously sick child into a shopping centre, especially in the middle of a pandemic?

When it is known that it is children who are catching the virus and no doubt passing it on why are they not required to wear a mask?
We visited a local garden centre yesterday and found there were hordes of children there with little or no parental control wandering around, picking things up and putting them down. Must add some of the parents didn't have masks on either.
Needless to say we left without buying anything. Still too many not wearing masks so it's little surprise the virus is spreading.
Foxy, re picking up things, I always frown in super markets when someone keeps picking bananas and putting them down then breaking off two. It ends up with loads of 3 and 4 bananas which annoys me when we like get buy a hand.
Even frozen packs of veg, pull them put them back then take a pack. What are they looking for?
I find that quite bewildering. How do you choose one bag of frozen veg over another when you can't see what's inside?
Or the meticulous individual who keeps everybody waiting whilst they choose a jar from the back of the shelf presumably with the longest shelf life.... but the rest have the same date!!! (I know because out of curiousity I have looked!!!)

I was waiting for ages behind a woman in Sainsbubs on Ssturday who picked up and put down half a dozen packs of smoked salmon before she settled on one.

Anything likely to deteriorate and be relatively slow to consume, like butter or cheese, I always "root" in the back for the longest shelf life............just saying.

Thinking the same, it doesn't last that long in our house. We check the sell by date but can't be bothered furtling about at the back in case there's a better one. Usually I can't wait to have the shopping done and be away again.
On the subject of choosing my MIL would wind me up no end. I'm sure she did it on purpose. She would wait until we were all ready to go out and would then spend an eternity choosing......a mint imperial!!! For goodness sake how do you choose one mint imperial over another. Aaaaaaargh!!!!

I am 81 next birthday, but I am going to wear my Luton hoodie. Sue thinks it looks classy. It is like the club, very tasteful. I have a Luton Town mask to go with it. My brother bought me two pairs of navy blue long johns. Not a fashion I have ever subscribed to I must say, but since he calls me Peter Pan, perhaps he was making a point. Tinkerbelle was not amused.
