Really? You actually believe attending a party, if that is what happened, is more serious than getting us into a war that's cost thousands of lives and still affects our national security. Seriously?

You really have to stop living in the past. What has happened has happened ... the only thing that matters is what is happening today. Blair, who I was no fan of, was a statesman that had international respect and worked to a plan. Johnson has little international respect and is a satirists dream around the world .. often depicted with a red nose and huge feet and rightly so the man is a total clown.

You are the only one that keeps talking about parties and cake, I have always said they are irrelevant ... it is the continual dishonesty, lack of integrity, nepotism, lack of planning, incompetence and sheer corruption of this government that make it totally unfit in a modern democracy.

Given the level of discussion seems to be relying on what Tony Blair did nearly 20 years ago .. then you might also want to include the Walpole corruption scandal of 1712 .. which is equally irrelevant.

No more debate of what parties did or did not happen in 2020 and 2021. No more discussion of whether the government got its response right to Covid in 2020.

It’s the nature of forums that people give their opinions. For example, you keep pushing your opinion down our throats that Covid should be treated the same as flu, and it’s only ‘mild’ anyway. But no one’s told you to stop.

Well said, the cakes and the parties aren’t the issue - the issue is that Johnson broke the laws he made and then mislead Parliament about it. Both of which are things that a PM with any integrity would have resigned over.

Starmer could not have been in number ten because he wasn’t Labour leader at the last election, so the only genuine comparison is to Jeremy Corbyn.
As we all know, Corbyn was very anti EU and totally quiet on the Brexit issue.
The myth now that is expressed as fact is that Labour were anti Brexit and Conservatives were pro.
The uncomfortable fact is that all political parties were clearly in favour of remaining, but the British public decided differently.
All the Conservative government have done is respect the democratic vote, much to the dismay of the losers, who hoped that it would all go away.

Starmer was a staunch remainer but even he has conceded that the argument is over.

To be fair brexit is a topic of importance today.
In fact, in the news today we have Rees Mogg (the minister of brexit opportunities) making great advances and spending tax payers money on a study to detail the economic benefits of reintroducing imperial units ... note, it is not a study to determine which is the best measurement system most suitable for the UK in the 21st century, but one that determines the answer before it even starts. So all in all the government still seems to consider brexit to be important and relevant today

I am hoping to hear a proper plan on implementing it and delivering on the brexit promises ... sometime, anytime really. It would also be nice to get a detailed breakdown of al the tangible items that we have received in return for the hundreds of billions that have been spent on brexit.
