Did anyone else spot that Netflix have axed their planned, and very expensive, feminist series by Me-Me-Meghan due to a serious fall in subscribers ?

My mantra has always been that, "Rules are for the guidance of wise men, and the observance of fools". I tend to believe that the postings on this topic clearly display the truth of that old saying.
wasn't that Derek's mantra too? what became of Derek? I wonder what his Monocleness would have to say about all this?
No idea but it would have made very interesting reading, whichever side of the argument he decided to support.

Quite amusing Moby but the subscriber fall seems to be caused by the move out of lockdown. However I would love to know just why they have decided not to go ahead with the programme, perhaps they have realised there are not enough Onelifes to make it popular.

Truth is that there's only one Onelife

Subscribers are allegedly sharing their log-on details with non subscribers ...

Hi Mob…as John rightly points out Netflix subscriber problems have nothing to do with her-her-again-Meghan no matter how you try and spin it out…. you should apply for a part time job with the ‘Firm’ as they love those who enjoy spreading mistruths about the lovely Meghan  :D

Agreed, not directly. It's to do with the end of lockdown and the cost of living increase. People are dumping things they can do without.

It does illustrate the problem with the subscription model of tv. Yes people share logins. I have any number of mates who boast about dodges to watch various subscription services without paying a bean.

And when subs fall the price goes up and the service reduces, potentially in a vicious spiral. And the stuff they drop is the stuff they think no-one will be that bothered about. And THAT does say something about Harry and Me-Me. It's an early sign of their celebrity bubble bursting.

During Lockdown there would have been a considerable number of single mums shut inside a high rise flat with only the telly to keep their kids occupied. Enter M&H as an alternative genre to the run of the mill cartoons. The little ones do of course love all that celeb crap. Now they can get out there's a much reduced need for Netflix.

So Joe Biden does have a sense of humor. At the white house press dinner he opened by saying :-

“This is the first time the president has attended this dinner in six years,” “It’s understandable. We had a horrible plague – followed by two years of Covid.”
Don't worry, be happy

Or at least his scriptwriter does.

I read that at the weekend and thought it was brilliant. We will hopefully soon be able to say similar.

Surely you dont need to ask, Ken thinks that only Ken is honest enough to lead the govt.

It's a genuine enough question which any Boris basher should be able to answer, otherwise it's making cheap digs just for the sake of it which is all rather tiresome and boring.

Give the job to Basil Brush, Dot Cotton or even Sir Keir they would all do a better than him.

I'm still waiting for an answer to my simple question on who Sir Hindsight is on the Corbyn/Blair scale. Seems even his fans don't know. Bit risky voting for him on that basis don't you think?

What was the question, can't be bothered to look. Sir Keir is much better than Corbyn, didn't like him, as for Blair, time will tell but the boy has potential.

Don't know what? How can someone answer a question when they don't know what that question is? Go on give us a clue. My point.

If someone can tell me where he sits on the Corbyn-Blair scale that would be grand. If Corbyn is 1 and Blair is 10, what number is Sir Hindsight?

At the moment he's so grey he makes John Major look like Joseph and His Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Probably why he needs Angela Raynor to bring a little life to his frontbench.

I agree Corbyn is 1. I wouldn't have put Blair as high as 10 but using your scale I would put Sir Keir at 9.5.

I don't think Sir Keir is grey. I think he is doing a pretty good job at holding Johnson's lying bunch of party goers to account. In short he's doing his job. If Sir Keir is ever Prime Minister then I will judge him. Until then I'll leave it as he's doing a pretty good job.

Does that answer you question?

which any Boris basher should be able to answer, otherwise it's making cheap digs just for the sake of it which is all rather tiresome and boring.
No different to the cheap digs against anyone from other political leaders that are equally tiresome, boring, predictable and unoriginal.

I never thought I would say this but Starmer has been doing a reasonable job ... but the Boris butt-kissers will never admit to that. Starmer has certainly got the better of Johnson more often than the other way around ... as can been by the amount of incoherent bluster that Johnson gives during PMQ.

This country voted a clown as its PM so can't be surprised that they have ended up with a circus, instead of a government. It is comical at the minute watching the social media Johnson sycophants desperately try to put a bit of distance between themselves and Johnson as they wake up and realise they have spent the last few years in a hypnotic zombie like trance being conned by an habitual liar.
