Same here Stephen, but the last couple of mornings have been chilly, only 9c at 06.30, thought about putting a shirt on, but no, I'm hard.

Re: Last One to Post Wins
Your right I didn’t. He was probably off on one of his naturalist jaunts when in port.
Haven’t heard from him on here either since he’s been back. Hope he hasn’t succumbed to Covid like Mrs S has. I’m not feeling a hundred percent myself, feeling knackered and having cruise cough even though I tested this morning and was clear. And we couldn’t have been more careful on the ship and shore with mask wearing all the time.
It did come to the point where Covid cases were rising to a level where the Captain asked everyone to wear a face covering when moving around the ship two days before the end of the cruise. Very few were up until then.

Re: Last One to Post Wins
I'm still above ground and we managed to avoid the dreaded but we were very careful where we went and what we did. Had I known you were wearing masks I might have stood a chance of seeing you as there were so few of us. People knew they should be wearing them but didn't even after the captain's announcement.
Sorry to hear about Mrs S. Hope she soon gets better.
We had an awful journey back. We left Southampton at 8.30 and didn't get home till 5.30. From Stoke up to Preston the M6 was pretty much gridlocked with accidents and breakdowns then we had a massive detour on the A66 due to a serious accident earlier in the day. Nine hours to do 360 miles!!! Bl***y holidaymakers!!!

Re: Last One to Post Wins
A shame we didn’t get a chance to meet up Foxy. I’ve just done a test which confirmed that I along with the rest of our group of four now have Covid. Makes you wonder why we bothered with masks.
If we were really careful then you would think all those that didn’t bother should also be Covid positive. I know it doesn't work like that but it’d make me feel better.
Sorry you had an awful journey back, in contrast ours was for once really good. Off the ship and at the car at 8, home by 11.

So sad tonight to hear of the death of Olivia Newton-John. A lovely and talented lady and one of my teenage crushes. RIP

Stephen, how unfortunate your party and foxy 's ended the cruise with covid. The six weeks in March /April, Sarah and I spent on Azura were wonderful, masks and testing worked. I do feel the new rules do nothing to help stop the spread, and yes I know most people say we must learn to live with covid, but it's a dampener catching it after a good cruise.
Hope you all have a speady recovery.

Re: Last One to Post Wins
We avoided Covid Ray but despite wearing masks and taking all the usual precautions we spent a lot of time on our balcony and avoided too much contact when out and about. After that I think it's just a matter of pot luck whether you catch it or not and we were fortunate for once.
I must say the crew did a sterling job whilst on board by wearing masks and having lads with little plastic buckets constantly wiping down bannister rails etc. What a thankless task they had!!!
It was a different P&O to any others we have had but it was enjoyable nonetheless given the circumstances and it was great to be at sea again. If anyone is having second thoughts my telephone number is.........................

Thanks Ray.
Hopefully the flu like symptoms have now peaked. Sore throat, tiredness, temperature, cough, headache and the feeling like someone is trying to squeeze your head. Generally feeling rough.
I can only imagine what the poor souls went through before there was any sort of vaccination protection.
Agree with Foxy, the crew were brilliant

We were talking to a chum yesterday whose son has long Covid. He gets so bad that he cannot sleep let alone work due to intense whole body joint pains. It comes and goes frequently and has done so for the past eighteen months ... ouch
Keep smiling, it's good for your well being

I’ve still got Covid although Mrs S tested negative this morning. But going by her cough I’m not so sure.

O joy of joys, we have lots of thunder activities above the clouds and light rain. We wait in anticipation of a down pour, which is no good with the ground like concrete at present.

I don't think the left hand know's what the right is doing with weather forecasting for around here. Been forecasting thundery showers for days.
Not a dicky bird as yet apart from the odd light shower that couldn't fill an egg cup.
