Gotta get to 2,000, which will happen 6 nights into a 12-nighter next year. Mean sods don't let you into the club straight away but only at the start of the next cruiseHK phooey wrote:You're beating me by 42 whole nights! What's the magic number that makes you a new goldie then?

None of them, as it 'appens ! There's one grab-a-granny cruise on Arcadia this July, 2 Christmases on Aurora and a trip round Britain and Ireland on the tug boat Adonia next yearDark Knight wrote:How many of them are Chav cruises?

I could do a 7-nighter on Azura but it would be far from a cheapo as we would be eating in Sindhu, Seventeen or The Glass House every meal time !!

I know, I wanted to tell someone that they had posted a topic under cruise specific that should have gone in general chat, but couldn't get round the message.

I know what work is involved for them - it can all be done in a matter of hours. They like to drag things out to maintain this mystique that they are indispensible. But yes, I agree that 4 to 5 weeks is a serious wiggle for a solicitor !!

Re: Last One to Post Wins
from putting down a reservation fee to moving in should be less than 8 weeks,
everything is done via e mail and phone and post
we have all the legal stuff at the solicitors ,all the financial stuff is with the financial advisors, and the house is 85% built
all in all none to shabby

It is so much easier with a new build - any potential glitches should have been ironed out before they start. Bit of a worry that your house is 15% short though. Which bit is missing ?!

That's handy - does it go something along the lines of "this is a house, here is a door, these white things on the walls are light switches and when it gets dark you press them so you can see to count your money, this is a tap and you can use it to wash every year if you want" I suppose it is Yorkshire and they are not used to living in real houses with running water and electricity

no it goes
dear Dark one and Lady Dark, thank you for putting yourself in the poorhouse to buy your huge new house, and then they explain how all the fancy stuff we dont need works, like the dishwasher, spa bath, rainfall shower, mood lighting etc.
then we go around finding all the faults , that they will put right before I give em a penny

You're going to be like Lord and Lady Muck up there, what with you coming from such a posh area and all. The yokels will think you are lottery winners or Russian drug dealers
