Re: Remember me not working.
It appears to be happening a lot more these days on many sites, and with different browsers - not really looked into why

All ok here….at the moment, although I I’m still asked to login quite regularly.

I'm asked to log in every time, no problem just one of those things.

Usually I get on no problem but occasionally I click the link to this site and need to log in but there is a requirement to accept terms & conditions before the log in box appears…there is the problem: No box to accept terms appears. I’ve scrolled up & down without luck.
It’s easy enough to solve. Close the page & start again.

I've had a run of log in requirements over the last few days, including on my PC which has never happened before. Usually just my phone.

This is very erratic, I just got straight in without having to login, so hopefully I will now have a longish settled period without needing to login, before the next hiccup when it again starts wanting me to login every time.

I also get asked to log in every time, when I refuse, I can spend days not being able to access the forum

Re: Remember me not working.
I am wondering if it is tied in with browser updates and/or changes to IP address.
As I said before I get it on here occasionally and on some other random sites that I have never had a problem with.
There is certainly nothing on here that has changed in the last six months or more.

Whatever the reason it's no great hardship having to login every time.

That was wishfully thinking, I have just had to sign in again.towny44 wrote: 29 Aug 2024, 09:39This is very erratic, I just got straight in without having to login, so hopefully I will now have a longish settled period without needing to login, before the next hiccup when it again starts wanting me to login every time.

Now that was new, I was again bounced back to the login screen, I then filled in with my correct details only to be immediately told I had exceeded the login number of attempts, although this was my first attempt.
Anyway tried to login again, and this time it worked, however I could now only rate the forums IT dept as only marginally above P&O

I hope I’m not putting this too bluntly, but could it be that David is trying to tell you something?towny44 wrote: 05 Sep 2024, 15:57Now that was new, I was again bounced back to the login screen, I then filled in with my correct details only to be immediately told I had exceeded the login number of attempts, although this was my first attempt.

It could indeed, but he ought to know by now that I have broad shoulders and am not sensitive to genuine criticism.Onelife wrote: 05 Sep 2024, 20:16I hope I’m not putting this too bluntly, but could it be that David is trying to tell you something?towny44 wrote: 05 Sep 2024, 15:57Now that was new, I was again bounced back to the login screen, I then filled in with my correct details only to be immediately told I had exceeded the login number of attempts, although this was my first attempt.
