Problem with Ventura?

C747 was heading for Funchal but seems to be diverting to Leixoes, Portugal. Anyone know why?

Possibly a medical emergency as a guess. She was due to dock at 1845 tonight. There will soon be someone onboard who will post somewhere the problem.

Yes, you're probably right, Ray. I am mildly concerned, I have a friend on board who is not 100% fit, nor is she in contact in any way. Odds are that she's fine, though. Ventura has docked now, anyway

The good news Keith is that if it was your friend or indeed any other passenger, they will probably have received first responder treatment quicker than that of what they would have received on dry land.

Yes, that's very true, Keith. I know someone who had a heart attack whilst on a cruise and he was convinced that if he had been anywhere else he would be dead now, instead of getting immediate treatment. Anyway, whatever it was, it was a quick stop and they are well underway again, heading for Madeira.
