Take no notice of boarding times. The desks usually open at 12 , even earlier sometimes so turn up any time after that - but not too late!!

Oh... you mean that sort of secret.... :-)

For those of you that use the self service laundry there is one at the front of the ship which isnt on any of the maps.... I shall keep which deck a secret so that you can go in search of it to work off all the burgers that Romig has recommended that you eat...
on every ship???

On Azura and Ventura the exception to the rule are the glass lifts overlooking the atrium, when you exit these you will be facing aft (the rear of the ship). :)
I was just going to say I am sure a lift on Ventura had us facing the back!

When inside I can never tell which is port/starboard or which way the ship is going so just look for a picture on the wall of a ship .. the pointy end of it will always be pointing towards the "pointy end" of the ship seriously - check it out on your next cruise.

On Arcadia there is a pull down shelf in the wardrobe for extra storage.

May be making myself look stupid here (as usual) but what is the pointy end of a picture?

Tinks, I think DQ meant that the plan of the ship on the wall always points in the correct direction (ie bow pointing to the actual bow).

R - I wondered what she meant aswell..... although if you look out of the window, look which way the water is flowing and then you will know which way the pointy end is....

I interpret it as:

If there is a picture/photo of a ship, the 'pointy end' on the picture will be facing the 'pointy end' of the real life ship :)

Good point never thought to do that!!! Mind you walking around for the first few days like a wally trying to get your bearings/find your cabin should burn off that extra cake at lunch ;)

Remember the colour of the carpets outside the lift closest to your cabin. They are colour coded depending on their location on the ship.

Sorry Tinks I probably didn't explain it very well . any picture on a wall of a ship, the ship will always be pointing the way the ship is going so if you stand facing the same way you will know right is starboard and left is port.

I believe even number cabins are on the port side and odd numbers on the starboard side. I presume this is the case for all the ships.

I think it is Foxy but if like me you step out of a lift or come down the stairs and haven't a clue which way the ship is going that isn't a lot of help ( it's a woman thing  )

Never believe the gossip in the laundry room.

Most of it starts with 'I have it on good authority' which always translates to 'I have just made this up' or 'I heard a rumour'

No need, Tinks, I have a magical fairy that collects the clothes from where I leave them and returns them to me all clean, fresh and ironed. However I can; afford to take the fairy on holiday, but Julie seems to know how to work those big white things ... my total input is to carry stuff there and back and offer advice.

Ha! Ha! Dancing Queen. It's easy. If you stand in the middle and the even numbered cabins are on your left then you're facing the front. If not, keep turning around until they are - but don't get dizzy!! LOL!!

(That's the logic but I still get lost. It's a man thing)
