Those who pre-registered and booked for 2014

Unread post by Emrobo »

Have you had your booking confirmation?

I have had two emails - one with a pdf to say about our registration notification and the pdf nearly looks like a booking confirmation except no cabin number etc

The second email is a thank you for booking and how to access the CP with a booking reference (but CP doesn't seem to recognise the booking reference). I also had the phone call to say we got the cabin we wanted etc and all money taken from my credit card.

Not had the actual booking confirmation and wondered if I was alone on this?

No we had a similar thing. We had 2 bookings one for us and one for our son. We received 2 booking confirmations for our son, but for us only the two emails like yours. I rang P&O and was told it had probably been sent but had disappeared somewhere  However I was then sent the proper booking confirmation. Instils confidence doesn't it

I booked Oceana for E434 (New Year cruise) back to back with E501 (Caribbean) direct with P & O on condition we were in same cabin for both cruises. Lo and behold when we received confirmation we were in 2 different cabins. I phoned immediately and had them changed to same cabin and in better position. It would appear they don't give best cabins out first. I suppose they think they are more likely to sell cabins in better locations.

With regard to accessing the CP - firstly there are, I believe, some on going issues with that but it is not uncommon, especially at busy times, for the CP not to be available until a few days after booking

I booked and paid for a balcony and gave in my two choices (not many 4 berth balcony cabins for us to choose from) so I am hoping it is just a glitch.

Think I will call them today

David, I had noticed there are some ongoing problems with the CP so I hope we are just another one having a problem!
