Seen a few reports on that over the last couple of weeks ,but P & O are not alone, there have been reports from many other cruise lines having the same problems. But it doesn't stop more shocking stories from the Daily Star.

I'm not really surprised when I see some of the habits of some passengers. Unfortunately they are not the only victims as they pass the virus on to others. I feel sorry for the crew who are doing their best to combat it.

Have a friend onboard Queen Mary, they have been battling novovirus all cruise. All asked today to stay ashore in Cadiz until 1.30pm due to the ship being deep cleaned. Had 20 dollars obc credited.

I read from someone who was on Iona at the same time and they said it was very different to what the paper reported.
Until the captain announced the protocol, they weren’t even aware of it.
I’d reckon that’s nearer to the truth.

It's always the same with these incidents in that the media love to have a go at the cruise lines (P&O seem to come off worse than any other) with a few passengers trying to extract some financial gain from their experience.

No more, or possibly less, that being young, ideal weight and without any disability plays - however lack of personal hygiene and arrogance will almost certainly have an effect.

I would disagree with both of the above statements as it is a medical fact that grossly overweight people find toileting more difficult as do those with some disabilities.

Lets have an argument….

You may be correct in your last post OL, but it does not mean that they are unclean. A disability does not always stop a person from having a clean a smart appearance and carry out basic hygiene practices.

You want an argument, best watch it, I'll send Stephen round in his string vest and bother boot's.

That is possibly true but it does not equate to a lack of personal hygiene - in fact I would suggest that many with disabilities are more hygiene aware, through necessity, than many without a disability.
