That was never going to happen. With the modular cabins that's a huge job.

My expectations for change is low.
Carpet and curtains and a bit of upholstery.

I’d have liked to see new balcony furniture.
I’d like to have seen better TVs
I’d like to have seen bathroom upgrades

But in the words of our old friend Mick Jagger, you can’t always get what you want.

She’s our favourite in the fleet anyway with the next three holidays booked on her.

That was never going to happen. With the modular cabins that's a huge job.

It is, but possible.
Take a look at the old CMV ship Vasco De Gama.

We were opposite her in the Canary Islands last year.
She’s well lush now.

Like sailing in a submarine
A few windows wouldn't go amiss and shift that pillar with the curtains from the lounge where they show the films. It was the daftest place for showing films anyway with a passageway of chattering passengers as a backdrop.

We like Azura. But we don't like fly cruising so you won't catch us aboard at the moment.

But has the pong gone?

I scanned this earlier today and my mind’s eye read ‘has the ping pong gone’. On close inspection just now I realised my error. We wouldn’t do a fly cruise but we definitely wouldn’t do one on Azura if the table tennis has been removed. We aren’t accomplished players but we do enjoy the daily competitions ( & also quoits, & shuffle board.) I think it’s a shame that deck games have been marginalised on some ships. I accept that deck tennis (the rubber ring & high net variety) probably had to go for H&S but feel that the games in general do offer a lot of benefits.

I hadn’t realised there was a smell problem on Azura. I do recall one several years ago on Aurora.

We've never been bothered by the Azura pong, though we have occasionally caught a whiff, but it has seemed to affect others.

Been on Azura three times and can’t say I’ve ever noticed a pong.

Like Merv I don’t like fly cruises, how I got myself doing this one I don’t know, but it will be the one and only. Thankfully it’s a relatively short flight.
