We had the new menus on Iona's Caribbean 35 nighter, and I thought they were a distinct improvement as did many of our table companions, they were certainly far tastier than the old menus. But the company head chef was on board overseeing the changeover, so let's hope the ships head chefs maintain that standard.

Most of those dished resemble ones that were on the menu pre Covid

Well it won't worry you David since you will not be sailing on a Carnival line cruise until Trump or his successor repeals all the tariff changes.

I'm on Arcadia in just over a week so I'll be interested to see what the menu is like. Other than a four night cruise in 2023 I haven't been on a longer cruise since Aurora in 2019 so it'll be interesting to see how it compares to that. It will be even more interesting to see how it compares to what I remember on my first cruise with P&O back in 2003.

One certainty…the 2003 lunch menu will have been easier to navigate.
