For those who like the James Bond films ....the director for the next Bond movie has been announced....
Denis Villeneuve The Dune director said in a statement released by the studio that he was a "die-hard James Bond fan" and intends to "honour the tradition" of the franchise.

How OL describes himself, suave and good looking, he's a good contenter for the next Bond.

…….and his lack of loyalty to the crown.
The only job offer he’d get is in the tea factory as Brook Bond.

Re: James Bond
I do. It's unacceptable these days, quite rightly, for a white actor to play Othello, for example. James Bond is well established as a white Brit so it works both ways for me. By all means write a great story with a black hero, but if he is "honouring the tradition" don't mess with it.

I don't have a problem with that either Merv, it's all about Bond, but anyone can play 007.Mervyn and Trish wrote: 27 Jun 2025, 20:31I do. They can, but not necessarily play Bond - take Roger Moore for example!

I can’t say I really enjoyed watching any of the James Bond films…probably only watched two in total.

I see you as a person of stature, and therfore a string quartet, maybe with a few local dignitaries in your music room, would be your excitement for an evening.

Watch the quartet in an arresting performance of Mozart’s String Quartet No. 21 in D major, K.575, Allegretto; and Brahms’ Intermezzo Op. 118, No. 2, which was originally composed for piano, but was arranged for string quartet .......Enjoy

A truly virtuoso performance by all four musicians…absolutely beautiful.
