Perhaps it might be an idea to spend less of the fare paying passengers money on things that some/most/many are not interested in and spend that money restoring the things that have been taken away onboard the ships - which if I understand correctly is what the business is about.

I agree with you 100% David. I can't help thinking P&O have lost their way, together with some of their loyal clientele.

100% from me too.

They’ve lost us. Azura two weeks ago was our last cruise with P&O. We’ve had tastes of how cruising and customer service should be, and we like it.

We'll see what Ambassador have to offer. Tilbury is just around the corner for you Stephen. Otherwise for us it's either Saga if we can afford it or Fred. After that our cruising days may be over.

I think you are all forgetting that you are getting older, possibly grumpier, and if you have cruised extensively you are now finding it difficult to find the new ports that were more readily available when you were younger, and not as well travelled.
Possibly, because Pauline is confined to a wheelchair with reducing mobility, we are much more willing to accept repeat ports, especially ones which we know will have an easily navigable promenade, or interesting areas to visit within easy access from the ship, we still find that P&O offers us the best and only way to enjoy overseas holidays.
Our main choice is the newer ships which have the best accessible features, and in the case of Iona and Arvia, a much wider choice of dining and entertainment venues, and despite the large number of passengers there always seem to be places where you can find a quiet spot to relax.

Nothing to do with getting older, grumpier or repeat ports John. We know what we use to get with P&O but no longer do and if need be are prepared to pay more for a better experience elsewhere. If and when we can't then we will find alternatives such as land base holidays.

With P & O we do have a chance to win tickets to Southamptons first home game .
Wow! Southampton v Wrexham. 400 hundred mile round trip, yes, if they pay travel costs and overnight accommodation and slap up evening meal.

Me neither. It has nothing to do with older,or grumpier. Clearly P&O are looking to attract a different demographic and have dropped all the niceties they used to include in the package. For me they have gone too far down this road that cruising with P&O is no longer as attractive as it was. You could assume that when changes are made they are made to improve the product but not in this case.
We rather enjoy visiting ports we have not visited before. Our next cruise goes to ports, most of which we had not heard of, let alone visited. That was one of the attractions of our next cruise line. It even includes Dundee!!!
I respect the fact that P&O is still attractive to some but from all I have heard it's no longer for us and that's sad.
Meanwhile we will be enjoying our HPB sites around the UK.

I’m hoping that by April 2027 P&O will have seen the error of there ways and make a special effort for Onelife…he deserves it  :D

Its only 4 1/2 hours away......you could start at 7 am and be in Southampton in time for lunch and who knows perhaps OneLife will pop over in his estate tractor & trailer ( he can put a seat in ) and give you a lift for free +++ you get a special box of chocs for your stateroom :o

You might bump into OL on his hands and knees outside P&O HQ begging them to give him a nomination for an award. Apart from cow sh*t on his wellies I've heard he is a jolly decent chappie! :P

I take it you all received the invite to win tickets. But other than those around Southampton and Wrexham, who would be interested?
I thought OLs pile was somewhere over near Buxton or that neck of the woods.
Would his tractor make it that far without blowing a gasket. As for the chocolates, I have already promised them to David on another subject. 😂

Blimey I hope he's not in Buxton. That's dangerously close to us.

Have you ever thought to invite some of the common members, who live in your area, around to your estate for cream tea and dainty cakes, on little plates with paper dollies .
I think it would show them how the other half live, and they may show you more respect in the future.

Good afternoon, Ray, I do open up my 'extensive' estate gardens once a year for cream teas, but at £22 .50 per head it only attracts the more affluent of clientele… I do however sell strawberries at £3 a punnet for those on a tight budget. :D
