Strange Car Number Plate

Unread post by david63 »

When we were driving down to Southampton on Friday we passed a car with a strange number plate. Cannot remember the precise number but it was something like "253 X 385" - never seen one like that begore and I did not notice any trade plates.

Anyone know what it could be?

Mr Google says it could be a diplomatic number plate - an embassy car - first numbers indicate country - the X signifies the status of the driver eg - a diplomat or staff member and the last 3 numbers signify different vehicles. DVLA also use X when they don’t know age of car.

That's because he's got it on his tractor and it only does 20mph downhill with a following wind. Don't tell him.
