I have just consulted Sarah who very knowledgeable about ships OL , and if it is the ship you are querying she tells me the front of the ship is called the pointy bit and the back is called the blunt end. I hope this helps OL.

It will still be the same, ie the pointy bit will still be the front.

Oh ....you mean cruise ships have more than one propeller

When you do take a cruise OL and find yourself disorientated, go straight to an officer and ask him to direct you to the pointy bit or the blunt end. You will find he will be impressed with your knowledge of nautical terms.

Iona and Arvia have 2 Azipods each, whereas Independence of the seas has 3 azipods, maybe that's why it goes faster and can visit more ports?!
