Booking Premier Economy Seats

Unread post by grandpapete »

Hello
I am looking for some advice regarding booking premier economy seats.
We have booked premier economy to the Caribbean next March (flying with TUI from Birmingham).
On my P&O booking information it says that seats should be available to book about 14 weeks prior to the flight. Will P&O inform me when the flight seats are available to book or do I have to keep checking?
I tried phoning P&O but was kept on hold for 55 minutes so I gave up. When I tried later the message said that the wait time could be over an hour!!
An added complication is that my wife and I are on the Ventura cruise at the beginning of December, so we could be at sea when the seats become available.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Sorry Grandpapete, I know nothing about flights, come to think about it I don’t know much about cruising either. I’m sure someone will be along shortly to give you some advice.

Of you're on board a P&O ship then the future cruise desk should be able to sort out seat reservations for you.

If you booked through a travel agent then I would have a word with them.

As you mentioned grandpapete I expect you will be notified when the seats become available.
I can understand you wanting to get in first to get a good choice of seats. I will be doing the same thing mid March next year.

P&O are a nightmare to get hold of even for travel agents.

We have a cruise booked in Jan 26 and booked the premier economy seats. You have to keep checking on the P&O app for the seat booking to open. Although it states 14 weeks prior this is only approximate. Ours opened 4 days late so you are checking continuously. We checked with our travel agent but it is in the hands of P&O.
Hope this helps.

I vaguely remember going to the TUI website starting from about 16 weeks prior to flying and eventually booking the actual seats there.
