Renewal of Passport.
May I say that the HM Passport Office has a 10 out of 10 from me for the service given.
Our next cruise is January next year.
My passport has 10 years and four months when issued, but since it was issued the four months now do not count. I had no problem with that, but checking the 10 years from issue, I was two days short of six months required for this forthcoming cruise.
A new passport was requested plus a new photo. I was quite pleased on how easy it was to fill in and upload the photo. Every step of the process to final return of the passport to home was met with a message of it's progress.
Very impressed with how it all went, but was hoping to renew after the cruise as our next trip abroad is not until July next year, just two days short, that's your luck.

Don't worry, be happy

Ah but if you had delayed then the cost of renewal would probably go up - because the "working man" does not need a passport!!

Re: Renewal of Passport.
I had the same experience Ray. Renewed my passport in June this year as the 10 year expiration date was February 2026 and I needed a six months expiry date from now (I’m on Ventura at the moment). It took less than a week to receive the new passport. Every step was relayed via message - took photo on a Friday/filled out online form/returned old passport on Saturday which was acknowledged as received on Monday/new passport arrived on Wednesday! If only other government departments were run so efficiently

But remember - the Passport Office is one of the few government departments that actually makes money, the others just spend it.
