Would anyone happen to know why Iona made an un-scheduled stop at A Coruna early this morning? Not just being nosey, it was probably a medical emergency and I have an elderly friend on board.

If the information I got is correct....it stopped at La Coruna yesterday due to a medical emergency onboard.
The ship made the unexpected stop to disembark a passenger who required medical attention.
Hope your elderly friend is ok

Thanks, Portsmouth. With 6,000+ passengers, the odds are heavily in favour of it having nothing at all to do with her but I am not likely to hear anything one way or the other until they reach Lanzarote in a couple of days. Whoever it was, it's such a shame for them to be so ill that their cruise came to an end after one day.
