I wonder if the originator of that rumour is aware P&O Australia no longer exist! Carnival's Australia interests are now looked after by Carnival Cruises. None of which adds nor detracts any credence to the geography of the rumour.

Other stories in recent months have included Sky Pricess to P&O as a sister for Britannia - even though internally they are fitted out very differently, and Arcadia to Cunard apparently on the basis she is Vista class as are Queens Victoria and Elizabeth. Realistically if Cunard desired more tonnage they would surely have another newbuild rather than a twenly plus year old (unless as a stopgap) but Carnival Group do move in mysterious ways.

I imagine that Carnival Australia might require an additional ship, but in the absence of any new build for P&O UK, then its unlikely they would reduce the UK capacity. So I suggest its very unlikely that Azura will be leaving the UK fleet anytime soon.
